Ida has become the venue of numerous mythological stories throughout the history for Romans, Greeks and Turks. One of the most famous stories is the Trojan War which took place just at the skirts of this great mountain while Zeus was located in the Altar of Zeus (near Adatepe, Ayvacik). In the area there are more than 800 plant species. 32 of them are endemic. In addition to this, despite not being endemic there are 15 other plant species which are found only in Mount Ida. Having our farm in such a nature-rich region, it is our duty to do our best in looking after the nature and apply sustainable and environment friendly farming practice.
With 213 km2 area, Ida mount is recognized as the 3rd highest oxygen rich place in the world.
Today, the archaeologists have been working to uncover the ruins of the Trojan city for decades with a remarkable success in the area.
